Our Approach to Privacy

Here's the straightforward scoop on the info we handle:

What We Briefly See

Like pretty much any website, when you visit, our servers note some basic technical details. This isn't about tracking *you* personally, but helps keep things running. It includes:

  • Tech Basics: Your IP address (which roughly shows your location, like country or city, but not *you*), the browser you used, when you visited, and which pages caught your eye. This helps us fix bugs and guard against spam or attacks.
  • Your Reactions (Optional): If you click a reaction emoji on a profile, we count that! We store the emoji, the celeb's ID, and an anonymized code (either from your IP or a random browser ID). It helps show what's popular and stops simple button-mashing, but we don't know *who* clicked.
  • Page Views (Also Anonymous): We count views on celebrity profiles to see which ones people are interested in. This uses the celeb's ID, the time, and that same kind of anonymized code. It's all about general trends.

What We Absolutely *Don't* Do

  • No names, emails, or personal sign-ups needed. We don't ask for them.
  • We don't use tracking cookies to follow you around the internet (though our ad partner, Google, might – see below).
  • We never sell your data. Period.

Why This Minimal Info?

  • The tech basics (server logs) are just for keeping the website online, secure, and working correctly.
  • The reaction and view counts simply help us see what people find interesting, so we can improve the site. It's all about the big picture, not individuals.

Keeping Things Safe

We use standard security practices for the basic logs and anonymous counts we store.

A Note on Ads (Google AdSense)

We show ads through Google AdSense to help cover the costs of running the site. Google uses its own technology (like cookies) to show relevant ads, sometimes based on sites you've visited. You have control over this via Google's ad settings and your browser settings. Check Google's privacy policy for their details.

Your Choices

Since we don't collect personal details, there's not much to "opt out" of on our end, besides choosing not to use the reaction buttons. Managing ad preferences is done through Google or your browser.

Updates

If we ever change this approach significantly, we'll update this page.

Questions?

We keep things simple, so there's no contact form tied to personal data. Hopefully, this page answers your questions clearly!
